Chemical testing

The analysis of chemical residues in products is becoming more and more important these days and the requirements are increasing. More and more chemical substances are being regulated at international level, for example by the REACh regulation, and the permissible levels of certain compounds are being increasingly limited, which requires high-quality, wide-ranging chemical analysis using the most modern analysis devices. We can offer you this in our accredited and independent testing laboratory.

We examine all materials for you, from the raw material to the ready-made goods, including their accessories (e.g. zippers, buttons) or their packaging, for compliance with international regulations.

We support our clients in the following tasks:

  • Tests for harmful substances in accordance with legal requirements (§64 LFGB) including evaluation of marketability or other regulations (OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 or REACh)
  • Conformity assessment according to manufacturer-specific and retailer-specific specifications (MRSLs / RSLs of well-known brands)
  • Tests according to technical delivery conditions (TL) by the German army or the police, for example
  • Quality control in production based on defined parameters that you specify or that we define in consultation with you

The extensive possible chemical examination parameters include the following highly relevant parameters:

  • Prohibited azo dyes / carcinogenic amines
  • carcinogenic and allergenic dyes
  • Pesticides (including glyphosate)
  • Pentachlorophenol, other chlorinated phenols and ortho-phenylphenol
  • Extractable heavy metals and other metals including chromium(VI)
  • Organotin compounds
  • Plasticizers / Bisphenol A and B
  • Cyclic siloxanes (D4 – D6)
  • Total content of heavy metals
  • Per- and polyfluorinated compounds (PFCs including PFOA and PFOS)
  • Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon compounds (PAH)
  • Alkyl phenols and alkyl phenol ethoxylates
  • Flame retardants
  • Chlorinated solvents and many volatile organic compounds (VOC)
  • N-nitrosamines and N-nitrosatable substances
  • Azodicarbonamide (ADCA)
  • Vector protection treatment using permethrin (according to specifications of technical delivery requirements of the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr))

Further parameters can be implemented after consultation, as this only represents a limited selection of the chemical test parameters. Talk to us and our team will be happy to help you find the right solutions for your questions!
